One of the most beloved of all choral works, Johannes Brahms’ “human” requiem of comfort and joy will be brought to life in the stunning space of National Presbyterian Church. Featuring critically acclaimed soloists Danielle Talamantes and Kerry Wilkerson, we hope you will hear this masterpiece as if for the first time. The concert opens with one of Brahms’ first sets of independent variations for orchestra, based on a tune by Franz Josef Hadyn.

The Maestra’s Favorite Choral Works

Featuring a wide variety of choral music through the centuries and from around the world, Maestra Kuhrmann has compiled a not-to-be missed array of musical delights from the choral literature. Showcasing the beautiful voices of Choralis and Ä’chos a cappella, come celebrate the beauty of the human voice in this intimate concert experience at Washington’s historic Church of the Epiphany.

Beethoven’s landmark symphony—the first ever to feature a chorus—will be brought to life by Choralis and a stunning cast of soloists. Paired with William Walton’s monumental Belshazzar’s Feast, this concert will celebrate Maestra’s Kuhrmann storied career with the appropriate drama and flare a send off deserves.
