The Original Choralis Summer Choral Festival is back! The first such program in the Washington-metro area offers a unique week of fun, friendship, learning and performance!


YOUNG ARTISTS WILL STUDY

  • the art and technique of singing & conducting

  • choral literature and history

  • sight singing and music theory

 

Participants are taught by professional singers and conductors and rehearse daily with the adult chorus, Choralis. The week culminates with a concert celebrating America's 250th performed with professional instrumentalists and soloists.

IMPORTANT DATES:

  • April 1: Application & letter of recommendation deadline.

  • April 15: Acceptance notification

  • May 1: Receipt of music and learning files.

Students must be recommended by a choral or voice teacher to participate. Private instruction slots are limited and therefore designated on a first-come, first-served basis. Students are expected to KNOW their part on the first day of class.

FEES:

$50 Non-refundable application fee

$450 Registration fee

(includes all class materials, festival t-shirt, meals, and snacks)

$500 Total Cost

ASSOCIATED COSTS:

Concert attire (not provided):

  • Floor-length black dress for girls

  • Black tuxedo with black cummerbund and bow-tie for boys
