Katelyn G. Aungst is the Conducting Fellow for Choralis. She is currently a junior at the University of Maryland studying Music Education with a concentration in voice. At the University, Katelyn performs with the Chamber Singers, under the direction of Dr. Edward Maclary with whom she also studies conducting. She is also the director of Femmes de Chanson, a student-run classical a cappella ensemble of women's voices. Katelyn has had the opportunity to work with the Maryland Boy Choir as part of her course work, and is the 2008 recipient of the Isabel W. Sondheim Collegiate Vocal Scholarship. She studies voice with mezzo-soprano Delores Ziegler.

While singing with the University of Maryland Chamber Singers, Katelyn participates in some unique performing experiences. In the summer of 2007, the group toured England and Wales, and competed in the international Eisteddfod cultural festival. The Chamber Singers have also performed at national choral conventions and at The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Katelyn has also shared her talents in Germany and France.

After finishing her undergraduate degree, Ms. Aungst hopes to pursue a graduate degree in choral conducting. She looks forward to growing, learning, and making music with Choralis this season.
